With million people joining the exodus to their respective hometowns, Jakarta produced far more waste on Idul Fitri, especially in Seribu Islands.

As a result, as many as 36 PPSU personnel have managed to collect tons of waste from Pramuka Island and Panggang Island, North Seribu Islands, Seribu Islands before and after Idul Fitri holiday.
Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin stated that while riding motor carts, PPSU personnel conduct waste transportation at tourist spots and settlement.
"They patrol while cleaning up waste in every area of Pramuka Island," he expressed, Wednesday (4/26).
He explained in statement that the amount of waste produced by Pramuka Island people was 30 meter cubics. This amount has increased significantly compared to normal days.
"Most of the excess is domestic waste, such as plastic, cans, and organic," he said.
He explained it was also due to the number of tourist visits during joint holidays which reached 4,856 people.
"Under such conditions, PPSU routinely checks the Waste Disposal Sites (TPS). It is carried out routinely in order to prevent the pile of waste," he closed.
