The Gambir Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit, Central Jakarta has deployed around 21 personnel to clean up mud from the water channel on Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara.
This work has been ongoing since last week and is targeted to be complete by the end of this month
"The channel itself has 167 meters length with 60 centimeters diameter. This work has been ongoing since last week and is targeted to be complete by the end of this month," expressed Gambir Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Muhammad Imawa, Thursday (11/25).
Thus far, personnel had managed to collect around 200 cubic meters of mud. Afterwards, it would be continued with the installation of 10 covers of bak kontrol (drainage control) that has touched 65 percent.
"Hopefully, it is able to anticipate flooding when it rains with high intensity," he stated.
