Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency cleaned water channels in RW 02 and RW 03, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri mentioned, his side cleaned channels in RT 02, 03 of RW 02 and RT 01, 02, and 03 of RW 03.

"From cleaning channels, we manage to collect 12 sacks of mud and garbage in RW 02 and 38 sacks in RW 03," he conveyed, Tuesday (6/8).

His side deployed 12 personnel to clean those channels from June 7 and it is targeted to be completed today.

"The capacity can be increased by cleaning mud sedimentation and garbage from the channels and water can flow well. Thus it is hoped the surrounding area will be free from inundation," he explained.
