Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has completed water channels cleanup at RT 01, 02, and 03 of RW 01, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands Sub-district.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri conveyed, his side has cleaned total 345 meters channels at RT 01, 200 meters at RT 02, and 305 meters at RT 03.

"In total, we have collected 17 sacks full of mud sedimentation and garbage from channels in those three locations," he informed, Thursday (4/15).

According to him, channels cleanup work had started since April 13, 2020 by deploying 23 personnel.

"Today, manhole and channels are clean from mud sedimentation and garbage, thus they can function optimally. Hopefully, this can prevent inundation, especially during high intensity rain," she explained.
