The Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands together with local residents are holding a mass communal work in places of worship and the Pulau Kelapa Public Cemetery (TPU).

Kelapa Island Urban Village Acting Head Muslim said it was carried out to create a sense of comfort to pilgrims who usually come to the cemetery ahead of Ramadan.

"We clean the grave area to make it more beautiful and comfortable," he expressed, Sunday (4/11).

Not only that, he added, similar action was spotted in places of worship and musala.

"We urge locals to remain maintain the environment clean, to adopt a clean and healthy lifestyle, as well as to comply with health protocols," he stressed.
