East Jakarta Satpol PP deployed 300 personnel and 7 rubber boats to evacuate residents affected by flood on Saturday (2/20).

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Budi Novian stated, 300 personnel were deployed to several flooded locations in East Jakarta, such as Cipinang Melayu, Cipinang Muara, Pondok Bambu, Cawang, Kramat Jati, Kebon Pala, Makasar, Rawa Terate, and other flooded locations.

"They join with other units to handle flood," he added.

From total 7 rubber boats, his side deployed 3 units to Cipinang Melayu, 2 units to Kebon Pala, and 2 units to Kramat Jati.

"We operate 7 rubber boats to help evacuating residents," he mentioned.

Evacuation using rubber boats was carried out on Jl. H. Amsir Rw 04 Cipinang Melayu. Residents whose house were submerged above one meter were immediately evacuated to evacuation post at Borobudur Campus.

"So far there are no obstacles in evacuating process. We will continue to evacuate to ensure residents are safe," he asserted.
