"Convalescent blood plasma transfusion is very needed, at least around 50-60 people a day, but there are only few donors. Through this humanitarian action, we hope COVID-19 survivors will not hesitate to donate their convalescent blood plasma through PMI Jakarta," he conveyed, Saturday (2/6).

COVID-19 survivors who will donate convalescent blood plasma have to go through medical examination process by medical team.

"There are requirements for COVID-19 survivors who want to donate convalescent blood plasma, where their maximum age is 60 years old, have minimum weight of 55 kilograms, and maximum 3 months after they have been declared cured or negative," he explained.

After receiving convalescent blood plasma transfusion, the cure rate of people who exposed to COVID-19 is quite high.

"Alhamdulilah, people with serious COVID-19 cases have recovered after receiving convalescent blood plasma," he added.

Therefore, he encourage COVID-19 survivors to donate their convalescent blood plasma to help COVID-19 patients.

"PMI doesn't have convalescent blood plasma stock. Thus we encourage COVID-19 survivors to donate and help the others," he mentioned.
