The Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Executing Unit is developing a kolam olakan (retention pond) in order to minimize flooding in the rainy season. 

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Head Saumun said the work execution was at three points that prone to flood on Kelapa Dua panjang artery road.

"By so it is expected to accommodate rainwater in large quantities when it rains," he expressed, Thursday (1/28).

Those three ponds were precisely located on the right and left sides of the Green Garden Housing Complex and one more was right next to the gas station.

He added the construction itself started with the aspirations of the community during the visit of the West Jakarta Mayor Uus Kuswanto, some time ago. It had been carried out since last November and is targeted to be complete in February 2021.
