As many as 50 personnel of Satpol PP, netted 28 people who violated the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) rules in the mask operation on Jalan Soemarno, East Jakarta, on Monday (1/11).

East Jakarta Satpol PP Head Budi Novian said, he intensified the operation in ten sub-districts spread over East Jakarta.

As a result, those people did not wear masks and sanctioned. 20 of them were given social work sanctions and 4 others were given administrative fines, with detailed three paid a fine by Rp 850,000 per person and the other paid a fine by Rp 100,000.

He added the money will be deposited to the regional treasury.

"Hopefully it can give them deterrent effect thus they can increasingly comply with health protocols," he said.
