The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on Thursday (1/7) issued a warning of possible low-medium rainfall in Jakarta.

“Cloudy in the morning but rain is expected in West, North, and Central Jakarta, including in Thousand Islands,” stated BMKG's Public Relation Division Head, Achmad Taufan Maulana.

In the afternoon, weather will be cloudy, but South and East Jakarta would see some rain.

"In the evening until at dawn, all areas of Jakarta will be cloudy," he expressed.

Temperatures are predicted at 23 to 28 degrees Celsius with humidity of 80 to 100 percent.

BMKG urged residents to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in South and East Jakarta areas during the afternoon.
