The Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, finally completed the construction of tidal embankments in two locations in Panggang Iskand Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district. It was made using sacks filled with sand.

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-agency Head Abdul Rouf said it was made in early December in RW 03 along 17.50 meters with 1 meter height and in RW 01 along 7.60 meters with 1 meters height.

"We need to anticipate tidal floods from residential areas," he expressed, Friday (12/4).

In the meantime, Panggang Island Urban Village Head Pepen Kuswandi expressed, his embankment was very important, as the region was prone to inundation and flooding when the water was high.

"We are going to evaluate it again, if the flood occurs frequently, we'll raise the embankment," he stated.
