Some 12 PPSU personnel tore down an illegal building stood atop the connecting channel on Jalan Elang Thainesia, border areas of RW 06 and 08, Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta.

"It is done, as we want to normalize the channel in the near future," said Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head Agus Sulaeman, Wednesday (11/25).

He stated that it aimed of making the surrounding environment more beautiful.

"Certainly the channel can accommodate water optimally in order to prevent inundation when it rains," he stated.
