The construction of a floating restaurant on Pramuka Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands Regency has started.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head Pepen Kuswandi said it would be made in the size of 3x20 square meters on the miniature pool of Pramuka Island

"It will be equipped with a gazebo measuring 3x8 square meters. This work is realized through collaboration with a private company by utilizing a corporate social responsibility program," he expressed, Wednesday (11/18).

He explained, its management would be left to residents. Especially, for the empowerment of youth or traders who have fields according to the needs of floating restaurants.

"Our completion target is by the end of December," he explained.

He hoped that it could be a special attraction for tourists and be able to improve the economy of residents on Panggang Island.

"We want this restaurant to be a model for other residential islands," he stated.
