In Gerebek Lumpur activity, 100 joint personnel from North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Park and Urban Forest Sub-agency, Bina Marga Sub-agency, and PPSU were deployed to clean Tarian Raya connecting (phb) channel in Pegangsaan Dua, Kelapa Gading.

Kelapa Gading Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Citrin Indriati conveyed, it was the continuation of Gerebek Lumpur activity on Sunday (11/10) that had been carried out along 25 meters of the channel.

"At first, we deployed heavy equipment. But this time, we will continue to clean it manually," she mentioned, Tuesday (11/17).

Tarian Raya Phb Channel is connected to Kelapa Lilin Phb Channel. Previously, its was full of mud as thick as 60-70 centimeters that made it barely functioning because of the mud.

According to her, mud dredging was mostly done manually because this channel was crossed by number of bridges thus it makes it impossible to use heavy equipment.

"After dredging some the mud sedimentation, the water began to flow into Kelapa Lilin Phb Channel. Hopefully it can overcome inundation that often occurs along Jalan Boulevard Timur," she stated.
