Anticipating inundation, Kelapa Dua Urban Village dredged water channel on Jalan Arteri Kelapa Dua, Kelapa Dua, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Saturday (10/24).
Dredging is done to optimize channel's capacity thus water can flow well
Kelapa Dua Urban Village Government Section Head, Rama Fitra Makmur said, channel was dredged because full of mud sedimentation and garbage with thickness between 20-30 centimeters.
"Dredging is done to optimize channel's capacity thus water can flow well," he stated.
His side deployed 200 joint personnel from urban village, PPSU, Water Resources (SDA) Unit, Satpol PP to clean up that 300-meter channel together with local residents.
"Today is our target to finish dredging
by encouraging people to also maintain cleanliness of water channel," he asserted.
