Dozens of PPSU members from Mangga Dua Selata Urban Village are cleaning up waterways and water channels alongside Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta and Mangga Besar Raya, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (9/24).

Mangga Dua Selatan Urban Village Agata Bayu Putra said it was conducted to prevent inundation during the rainy season.

"We have sent 20 personnel to the location," he stated, Thursday (9/24).

He continued they had managed to pick up 75 sacks containing plastic, used bottles, dry leaves to mud.

"Hopefully the region can be free from inundation or flooding when it rains," he stated.
