The Jakarta Public Service (JPS) appreciates the Jakarta Governor's Instruction number 52/2020, regarding the acceleration of improving flood control systems in the era of climate change.

JPS Executive Director Sayiful Jihad said Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan through a letter of instruction mandated all relevant ranks, from the urban village head, sub-district head to regional apparatus organizations to accelerate all flood management programs.

"Amid the pandemic, he is also prioritizing flood management," he said, Wednesday (9/23).

He stated he instructed the optimization of pump functions and early detection tools, as well as the dredging of mud in drains and rivers.

"Urban village and sub-district heads are instructed to urge residents not to throw garbage in the drain or river in order to prevent inundation when it rains," he added.
