The Thousand Islands Regency administration appeals to homestay owners to actively assist the government in efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. One of the ways is to discipline the health protocol.

Before serving tourists, please ensure health protocol facilities and infrastructure are met

This statement was stated by Thousand Islands Economic and Development Administration Assistant Iwan P. Samosir when he coached homestay owners in Kelapa Island and Harapan Island urban villages at the North Thousand Islands Sub-district Office, Wednesday (9/9).

On that occasion, he wanted them to implement health protocols through the fulfillment of supporting facilities and infrastructure and receiving tourists as much as 50 percent of their usual capacity.

"Before serving tourists, please ensure health protocol facilities and infrastructure are met," he told.

He uttered homestay facilities during the pandemic that should be prepared included; hand washing facilities with soap, thermal gun, hand sanitizer, banners or banners appealing to the use of masks, washing hands and maintaining distance (3M).

"This coaching is also an appeal for homestay owners to adhere to health protocols. If they ignore it, they will get strict sanctions in the form of business closure," he stated.
