Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission A Vice Chairperson, Inggard Joshua appreciated Internet for All (JakWIFI) program which initiated by Jakarta Government that has been used widely by residents, especially underprivileged students in doing distance learning (PJJ).

I appreciate it and glad to hear that many students who have used this free WiFi network

"I appreciate it and glad to hear that many students who have used this free WiFi network. Because we should prioritized the education sector first," he stated, Wednesday (9/2).

He also suggested Jakarta Government to involve regional stakeholders to regulate free internet users thus they don't gather at one point. It is important to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

"Later it can be arranged. But, at least it can run as targeted," he added.

Other Commission A legislator also conveyed the similar thing. Gembong Warsono conveyed, JakWIFI usage should be monitored by assistants to control students activities. For example by involving RT/RW administrators who understand the environmental condition thus health protocols can be implemented optimally to prevent COVID-19 transmission.

"I appreciate this program. Residents also find it helpful. But to avoid crowd, I think city needs to add JakWIFI access points," he closed.
