It has been noted that 9,758 tourists have visited the Thousands Islands during August 14-17. They are urged to remain implement health protocols in order to prevent unwanted things.
As of August 14, we have welcomed 233 tourists, 3,872 on August 15, 4,124 on August 16 and 1,529 on August 17
Puji Astuti, Head of Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economic Sub-agency said those tourists arrived through Marina, Kaliadem, Rawasaban and Tanjung Pasir piers.
"As of August 14, we have welcomed 233 tourists, 3,872 on August 15, 4,124 on August 16 and 1,529 on August 17," she detailed, Tuesday (8/18).
Then the peak of tourist visits fell on August 16 with 4,124 tourists.
She added all tourists were checked for temperature, should use masks, as well as urged to maintain physical distancing and to wash their hands routinely.
"Of course we want tourism here to run smoothly, safely and healthily for all," she said.
