Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission A Legislator, Hasbiallah Ilyas supports city for extending large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) period until the next 14 days.

But he suggested that business sector shouldn't be closed to boost the economy in the capital city of Jakarta.

"I also expected shopping centers to remain open thus our economic cycle continues. The important thing is to tighten health protocols implementation," he stated, Thursday (8/13).

According to him, health protocols should be tightened, especially in residential areas. This monitoring must involve TNI and police, and progressive sanctions should be given to the violators.

"There are still many people in residential areas and villages who don't wear mask. Those areas need tighter monitoring," he conveyed.
