Residents living in Gg Hijau Mandala, RT 08/05, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta have started to beautify their environment by installing 15 colorful umbul-umbul (decorative flags).

RT 08 Gg Hijau Mandala Chairman Saini said that it was done to welcome the Independence Day's anniversary, which falls on August 17.

"We involve 10 members of karang taruna to install umbul-umbul while implementing health protocols, such as wearing a mask, washing hands with a soap and maintaining social distancing," he expressed, Tuesday (7/14).

He added that there would be also light knick-knacks to make it look more beautiful at night.
