Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Agency continues to improve the Tidung Island Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO), South Thousand Islands, which experienced technical problems since Sunday (5/24) yesterday.
We had to take chemical from Kelapa Island SWRO for a while
Jakarta SDA Agency Head Juaini Yusuf said the SWRO is not operated due to exhaustion of chemical stock (a kind of engine lubricant). Thus it interferes with the process of producing clean water.
"We had to take chemical from Kelapa Island SWRO for a while," he expressed, Monday (5/25).
His side is going to collaborate with the contractor who is still responsible for SWRO maintenance, including the provision of facilities and infrastructure.
"Hopefully it can be functioned back and clean water supply to residents can be normal again," he hoped.
