Fire gutted the basement of Jakarta City Council (DPRD) building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, Saturday (10/4), at around 8.10 AM. Allegedly, the incident was triggered by electricity short-circuit.

“According to information, there was electricity short-circuit at DPRD building's basement. But I don’t know it for sure,” said Jakarta DPRD Council Secretary, Mangara Pardede.

Luckily, the fire has been successfully controlled by 11 fire trucks, but the number of casualty is still unknown.

“Fire has been put out, but I don’t know its chronology in detail,” said Pardede.
