Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Commission Member Khoirudin, appreciated the PT Transjakarta's step that is no longer accept cash for the purchase or top-up of e-money cards at all stations amid coronavirus outbreaks.

According to him, it was in line with national policy through the application of the National Payment Gateway (GPN) by Bank Indonesia and Jakarta Governor's Regional Strategic Activity (KSD), which is the Electronic Fare Collection (EFC).

"We really appreciate it. Moreover our city is transforming towards the City 4.0 system," he said Tuesday (3/24).

He furthered cash to non-cash transactions should be intensified to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

"This is because the use of cash as one of the intermediary media for transmitting the coronavirus," he stated.
