Four floating latrines in RW 03 and 04 areas Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands were controlled in an effort to create a clean and healthy environment.

"Aside from maintaining the beach aesthetics, we also educate locals to change old habits by having a toilet at home," expressed Kelapa Island Urban Village Head, Madi M Dali, Wednesday (2/19).

It was also to realize a residential island with a tourism vision through the Thousand Colors program in Thousand Islands.

Hopefully the related regional apparatus organization (OPD) could set up communal latrines for locals who have no private toilets in their homes.

"The beach as the front yard of the island must be kept clean and beautiful," he stated.
