The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) expects rain in parts of Jakarta on Friday (1/17) afternoon.

"Just cloudy in the morning," said BMKG's Public Relations Division Head, Taufan Maulana.

In the afternoon, light rain will pour in Central Jakarta and medium rain in East and South Jakarta. At night, light rain will fall in South Jakarta, East Jakarta and Central Jakarta.

"At tomorrow's dawn, light rain to hit West Jakarta and medium rain in South Jakarta, East Jakarta, Central Jakarta and North Jakarta," he expressed.

Temperatures are predicted at 24 to 32 degrees Celsius with humidity of 65 to 95 percent. Wind blows from west to north within 05-20 kilometers per hour.

"Beware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds with a short duration in the South and East Jakarta areas in the afternoon and early morning," he stated.
