The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department confirmed today that as many as 639 flood victims have been forced to evacuate their homes after floods continued to inundate wide areas of the city.

This evacuation was carried out since 9 AM and is still ongoing.

"To do it, we have sent 78 personnel to 13 flood locations," expressed East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department Head, Gatot Sulaeman, Wednesday (1/1).

Those 13 flood locations are RW 03 and 04 Cipinang, Jalan Kayu Mas Raya RW 04 Pulogadung and RW 03 Rambutan Urban Village.

"Then RW 01, 10, 12 Kebon Pala, Makasar and so forth," he closed.
