The water level at Manggarai SLuice Gate, Jalan Tambak, Central Jakarta, has reached 920 cm or in alert 2 status.
We will also deploy mobile pump to handle the puddle at settlements and roads
Jakarta Head Dept. of Water Resource, Juaini Yusuf, said water debit in Ciliwung river goes up because of rain.
"Up to 9 AM, the status is in alert 2. We will open the Ciliwung Sluice Gate gradually," he said, Wednesday (1/1).
Juani requests to residents living around Ciliwung river and West Flood Canal to remain alert.
"The rain is still pouring. Please stay safe," he added.
According to him, more than 8,000 department's personnel are alerted to handle the flood.
"We will also deploy mobile pump to handle the puddle at settlements and roads. We have 140 units of them," he continued.
