Channel normalization project on Jl. Tipar, Sukapura, Cilincing, North Jakarta that was started since September is targeted to finish in December. Current progress has reached above 70 percent.
It has run for about 70 percent
Cilincing Water Resources (SDA) Unit Head, Sarkam said, this channel has length of 700 meters and besides normalization, his side will widen channel's width for 80 centimeters.
"It has run for about 70 percent. Physically, its retaining wall has almost finished and we just need to close the channel," he explained, Monday (11/18).
According to him, channel is normalized as requested by the local residents. In rainy season, he added, this channel often causes inundation on the area because it can't be functioned optimally.
"We deploy 30 personnel every day to normalize it. At first, our target is to finish it in November, but due to rough terrain, maybe we
finish it in December," he mentioned.
