Around five personnel under the Pancoran Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit, South Jakarta are repairing water channels at the junction of Jalan Raya Pasar Minggu - Jalan Duren Tiga Raya.

“It aims to minimize and prevent inundation in the rainy season," expressed Pancoran Sub-district Water Resources Executing Unit Head, Supri, Wednesday (11/13).

The channel itself has 110 cm high, 80 cm wide and 10 m long. This work is divided into two stages.

"Last Sunday we had done repair up to five meters. And today we continue another five meters," he told.

It is targeted to be complete this Friday.

"Actually we do this to prevent victims because most drivers often cross the outskirts of the road, especially in the morning and in the afternoon," he stated.
