As many as 40 citizens living in RW 12, Sukapura Urban Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta were educated about fire handling through the North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency, Saturday (10/19).

"Those citizens are representatives of RT/RW, PKK cadres and public figures. This socialization is held in the Taman Pinus RPTRA," said North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head Satriadi Gunawan.

They were trained how to handle and put out fires from a gas stove using a portable fire extinguisher," he expressed.

Sukapura Urban Village RW 12 Chairman Suyanto admitted it brought many benefits to the citizens to know and understand how to handle fires early on.

"We come to understand how to do early handling when fire occurs," he stated.
