As many as 20 members of Dasa Wisma in RW 03, Tidung Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands given training in fire prevention and handling in the Tidung Ceria RPTRA, on Tuesday (10/15).

"It is compliance with the Gubernatorial Instruction number 65/2019 on the movement to prevent fire," said North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan, Tuesday (10/15).

In the future, he stated, they will be assisted in conducting data collection on fire-prone homes and socialization about the use of gas cylinders and electricity.

The firefighters train them how to use wet sacks and portable fire extinguishers (APAR) in putting out fires.

In the meantime, Tidung Island Urban Village Secretary Dudung hoped that Tidung Island could be safe from fire hazards.

"The more vigilant and skilled in prevention, hopefully the fire can be minimized as early as possible," he hoped.
