They (pet owners) must pay attention to their pets without being released
The North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency has vaccinated 113 transmitting-rabies pets through free vaccination held on the yard of the St.Lukas Church's parking area, Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, on Wednesday (2/10).
Those animals consist of 34 cats, 78 dogs and 1 weasel.
"They (pet owners) must pay attention to their pets without being released," North Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency Head, Rita Nirmala.
Besides being able to interfere, it is also to anticipate the transmission of rabies in pets.
This service is set to be held for two days. The second day would be held in Rorotan Urban Village bordering Bekasi, West Java.
Linda, a citizen of RW 07 Sunter Agung Urban Village assessed that it really helps those who have pets.
"Not just vaccination, we can also do direct consultations related to animal health," she told.
