Central Jakarta Library and Archive Sub-department (Sudinpusip) gets appreciation from Children-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) administrators for holding storytelling training that is held for them.
This knowledge is very important for us, especially in growing children's interest in reading
Kebon Sirih RPTRA Administrator, Ega Putri stated, it is her first time joining storytelling training.
"I think this training is great because RPTRA interacts with children directly and it also has library," she mentioned, Monday (9/30).
According to her, this training helps them as the administrators to know better in choosing the theme, story line, characters, conflict and its solution. Thus children wouldn't get bored with the story.
"The most important thing we learn from this training is that storytelling is not about reading the story, but it needs body movements, voice and tone of speech, then correct and clear pronouncement," she explained.
Similar thing was also conveyed by Bendungan Hilir RPTRA administrator, Wuri Dewi Angesti. She assessed, her side learned many things about storytelling, including the right technique in storytelling.
"This knowledge is very important for us, especially in growing children's interest in reading," she added.
For information, there are 200 participants joined this training. It is held by Central Jakarta Pusip Sub-department on September 28-29, 2019.
