Jakartans, there are various Betawi dishes sold at Semasa event held at Jakarta City Hall on September 28-29, 2019.

Visitors can try Betawi traditional dishes such as tape uli, selendang mayang, sagon, geplak, bir pletok, and kembang goyang.

"Its price varies between Rp 10-25 thousand per item," stated Samsudin (40), one of the Betawi food merchants at City Hall, Saturday (9/28).

He explained, food merchants who sell Betawi food and beverages in Semasa event are coached merchants under Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village (PBB) Management Unit (UPK), Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

"Of course we are happy to be involved in this event," he said.

He hopes, events that involved small medium industries (IKM)s to be held more often. Thus more people can know about Betawi culinary.

"I want similar event to be held more often. It is not only good to promote Betawi culinary, but also boosts our economy," he mentioned.
