The Tidung Island made a new innovation in the form of a green hallway in its efforts to increase food crop production and utilize open space.

At the entrance until behind the urban village office, we do the greening by planting plants such as grass jelly, betel leaves, bitter melon and grapes

Tidung Island Urban Village Head Cecep Suryadi said that this green corridor was created to capitalize on the east side breezeway between the village office at Hati PKK Park as long as five meters that connects the rear entrance of the urban village to the sub-district office.

"At the entrance until behind the urban village office, we do the greening by planting plants such as grass jelly, betel leaves, bitter melon and grapes," he expressed, Wednesday (9/25).

Aside that, right on the side of the fence wall, he also planted watermelons in the hope that they could creep up and cover the wall to make it look green and beautiful and could be harvested when the time came. Similarly, Moringa trees planted in pots.

"For the maintenance is done alternately through ASN, PKK and PJLP," he stated.
