Disabled Residents in Four Inhabited Islands Received KPDJ

Thousand Islands Regency distributed Jakarta Disability Card (KPDJ) to residents of four inhabited islands at Amiterdam RPTRA, Untung Jawa Island, South Thousand Islands.

KPDJ is given in form of Bank DKI debit card with balance Rp 300,000 per card

"KPDJ is given in form of Bank DKI debit card with balance Rp 300,000 per card," said Husein Murad, Thousand Islands Regent, Thursday (9/12).

There are 42 people who receive KPDJ in total. Those are 9 disabled residents from Untung Jawa Islands, 14 disabled residents from Panggang Island Urban Village, and 4 disabled residents from Pari Island Urban Village.  

"Hopefully it could ease their burden," he mentioned.

Sumiati (55), resident of Untung Jawa Island who had a minor stroke for five years, is one of KPDJ receivers. She conveyed her gratefullness when she got this financial assistance from government.

"Alhamdulillah, thank you Jakarta Government. I will use this money for medical treatment and buy medicine. Hopefully this assistance could continue," she expressed.
