PT Transjakarta has added routes in areas that are applied the expanded odd-even license plate policy in a bid to anticipate the surge in passengers, on Monday (9/9).

"We added 48 routes, with details 21 routes for BRT, 23 routes for non-BRT and 4 routes for mikrotrans," expressed PT Transjakarta Operational Director, Prasetia Budi.

His party also has expanded capacity at several bus stops to accommodate passengers, like the Velodrome and Tosari bus stops.

"We try to facilitate private vehicle users to switch to public transportation," he stated.

The additional fleet has also been prepared, but the number cannot be set yet as it is still situational.

"Hopefully this policy can encourage people to ride public transportation. For those who have not yet memorized the route, our officers will provide route information and the nearest park and ride," he said.
