Various events and activities are held on Tidung Island, South Thousand Islands in a bid to enliven the Indonesia's 74th Independence Day, which falls on August 17, 2019.

One of them is football competition with 10 teams. It is participated by employees of state civil apparatus (ASN), PJLP and representatives of RT/RW, sub-district social agency (LMK) and early awareness society forum (FKDM). 

"It has been held since today and tomorrow," expressed Tidung Island Urban Village Head, Cecep Suryadi, Wednesday (8/14).

It is hoped could strengthen solidity and cooperation between urban village apparatuses and its citizens.

"We also have other events and activities in each RW," he said.
