Jakarta to Procure More Air Pollution Measuring Devices

Until next year, Jakarta Provincial Government plans to procure 10 units of air pollution measuring devices. These devices are needed to know air pollution level in Jakarta.
This year, we will buy 2 devices first, then 8 devices next year
Jakarta Governor Deputy for Spatial Planning and Environment Division, Oswar Muadzin Mungkasa mentioned, it costs around Rp 5 billion to buy 1 unit of air pollution measuring device.
"This year, we will buy 2 devices first, then 8 devices next year. Now, we have 8 air pollution measuring devices. So, later we will have 18 devices in total," he conveyed at City Hall, Friday (7/12).
His side carries out method to monitor air quality by using one device per one million people. Jakarta has 13 million people in total, thus it means Jakarta at least needs 13 devices to know air pollution level in Jakarta.
"We expect these additional devices can help us to monitor air quality better," he asserted.
