The Jakarta Tax and Levy Agency (BPRD) is intensifying active billing to optimize tax revenues in the capital.
We've done it twice. First, we sent the letter last March and second one in June. We also have a plan to do the same in the forthcoming September after deadline
Jakarta BPRD Head, Faisal Syafruddin said that various ways continue to be done in a bid to boost local tax revenues. One of them is by giving an active billing letter to the taxpayers who are tax arrears.
"One of them is by sending a forced billing letter," he expressed, Wednesday (7/3).
It will be done thrice on groundwater tax (PAT), urban and rural land and building tax (PBB-P2), as well as restaurant tax.
"We've done it twice. First, we sent the letter last March and second one in June. We also have a plan to do the same in the forthcoming September after deadline," he stressed.
As for the information, on the 2019 City Budget (APBD), tax realization is targeted to hit Rp 44 trillion. Up to June, its amount managed to hit Rp 13 trillion.
