Pondok Bambu Urban Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta uses 100 square meters land on the west side of urban village office for urban farming.

Urban farming is a solution to utilize vacant land

This land is used to plant vegetables such as morning glory, bok choy, spinach, chili pepper, lemon basil, eggplant, and tomato.

"Urban farming is a solution to utilize vacant land," said Angga Sastra Amidjaya Pondok Bambu Urban Village Head, Thursday (4/25).

It is managed by Pondok Bambu Urban Village employees and PPSU personnel. They usually harvest the crops once a month.

"East Jakarta KPKP Sub-department also helps us to teach PPSU personnel about growing the plants," he added.
