Some 80 citizens living on two islands in North Thousand Islands get fire education how to put out the flames early.

Of 80 citizens, 40 out of them are from RW 02, Harapan Island and 40 others are from RW 04, Kelapa Island. 

"We hold fire education in the office of Harapan Island and the Nyiur Melambai child-friendly integrated public space (RPTRA), Kelapa Island," expressed North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Satriadi Gunawan, Thursday (4/4).

Locals are educated to anticipate and handle the fire due to gas stove leakage and to use portable fire extinguisher (APAR).

"We want public awareness to be a preventive step in anticipating fires on residential islands," he stressed.
