Due to Polda Metro Jaya JPO revitalization, traffic engineering will be applied at Jalan Jenderal Sudirman on December 6, 2018. It is only temporary.

Similar policy will also be applied during JPO girder installation on the east side on December 6, starting at 11 PM-4.30 AM. Eventually vehicles coming from Slipi, Harmoni and Kuningan toward Senayan will be rerouted to Jalan Gatot Subroto-u-turn at Mampang intersection-Kuningan-turn left to SCBD or Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, etc.

Then for west side, it is also slated to be applied on December 7 at 11 PM-4.30 AM. Vehicles coming from Blok M toward Harmoni and Slipi will be rerouted to Jalan Pintu Gelora 1-Jalan Asia Afrika-Jalan Gerbang Pemuda–Jalan Gatot Subroto–Semanggi–Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, etc. 

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Acting Head, Sigit Wijatmoko stated that the work is done at night until dawn in a bid to minimize traffic jam.

"Even though it's done at night, we still urge drivers to adjust and avoid areas affected by traffic engineering," he expressed, Monday (12/3).

During traffic engineering, his side will also deploy personnel in the field to help direct motorists to alternative routes.

"Drivers must comply with the signs and follow the officer instructions in the field, and prioritize safety," he stated.
