Cengkareng Water Resources (SDA) Unit, West Jakarta, anticipates inundation by dredging mud sedimentation, cleaning water channel and preparing mobile pump.

Cengkareng SDA Unit Head, Achmad Iskandar Zulkarnain said, inundation should be anticipated because some areas have low topography relief.

"We prepare mobile water pumps in several locations that have low topography relief to suck inundation on the road due to rain," he mentioned, Tuesday (10/9).

Besides, his side also conducts routine maintenance and clean water channels in settlements which are mostly filled by household waste.

He hopes residents are no longer littering the channel thus during rainy season inundation could be minimized.

"Waste can damage water pump, like what happened at the Rawa Buaya Pump House some time ago," he added.
