Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Statistic Dept. is holding a capacity building training for managing social media (medsos) accounts for state civil apparatus (ASN), in the East Jakarta mayor's office, Thursday (20/9).

Central Jakarta Secretary, Usmayadi who opened the training said that training like this is very positive for ASNs. Because in this era of globalization, they must understand the positive and negative impacts. Medsos can be a means for SKPD/UKPD to spread information about activities to the public.

"It can be a tool to share something positive to the people," he stated.

With a lot of information delivered through social media, people can see that there are many activities made by SKPD/UKPD for the locals.

Jakarta Communication, Informatic and Statistic Dept.'s Public Communication Division Head, Nurjanah added that it is conducted simultaneously in five cities and one district. Most participants are representatives of the sub-dept., office, section and sub-district.

"We hold this training to make them (SKPD) understand on medsos. Because now is the digital era where all information is conveyed via social media. It can also be a tool for clarifying or rectifying information," he uttered.
