45 Fresh Food Samples at Kramat Jati Central Market Examined

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. held food inspection to ensure food quality and safety at Kramat Jati Central Market yesterday.

All vegetables and fruits are safe for consumption

There were 45 food samples consist of 11 fruit samples and 34 vegetable samples examined on the location.

"Examination result shows that all vegetables and fruits are safe for consumption," mentioned Darjamuni, Head of Jakarta KPKP Dept., Tuesday (8/28).

His side examined fruit samples such as grapes from China, honeydew melon from Banyuwangi, watermelon from Lampung and starfruit from Bogor.

Meanwhile for vegetable samples were taken from leek, spinach from Tangerang, cayenne pepper from Solo and Majalengka, curly red chili from Magelang and Sukabumi, water morning glory, cauliflower, collard greens, tomato, peanut, and lettuce head from Cipanas.

"After examination, its result is all vegetables are free from hazardous substance and pesticide," he stated.
