Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno monitored Wisma Athlete and Kali Item (Black River), Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday (8/9) night.

This monitoring was done to ensure Wisma Athlete is ready to be used by Asian Games athletes and officials who will arrive on Friday (8/10).

When arriving in Wisma Athlete around 21:45 PM, he immediately checked Tower 7 condition. He examined medical room on the ground floor and go up to 12th floor. He also checked Kali Item condition from balcony.

During monitoring, Sandi wa s accompanied by several apparatuses, such as Jakarta Youth and Sport Dept. Head, Ratiyono; Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. Head, Yuli Hartono; Acting Central Jakarta Mayor, Premilasari; and INASGOC Head, Erick Thohir.

"Today we check its preparation on D-1. Because athletes will be arrived in Jakarta on Friday. We need to ensure it is ready to be used and Kali Item is not smell anymore," he explained.

According to him, Kali Item is handled by several parties who are collaborating. Thus currently it is not smell.

Meanwhile, INASGOC Head, Erick Thohir informed, actually several athletes have arrived on August 7 but they go straight to their hotel in West Java. While the other athletes from handball and basketball will be arrived this Friday and have a match on August 13-14.

"We will ensure everything goes well," he affirmed.
