Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan wants citizen who wants to visit Asian Games XVIII venues to take public transportation.

He said, PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) will deploy 1,500 buses to transport visitors, athletes, officials, and journalists.

"We have prepared 1,500 buses from PT. Transjakarta," he informed, Tuesday (7/10).

He wants PT. Transjakarta to socialize prepared shuttle routes soon thus event could run well.

"Citizen doesn't need to use private vehicle to reach shuttle since we provide public transportation. We will socialize it via mass media and social media related to this information as we announced about odd-even policy before," he conveyed.

He hopes this policy can reduce private vehicles usage and prevent congestion, especially near Asian Games venues.

"Since parking spaces are limited, we want citizen who want to watch this event by using public transportation," he mentioned.
